Ragged Company

  Heroes and heroines face tough tests on their journeys, and at times in helping others, often appear and aid them. Pick 2 instances in the novel, where a character was tested and who was the hero or heroine who came to his or her aid? Do you feel the hero or heroine could have done more to help that character? Lastly, think of an individual who you believe to be a hero or heroine and how has this person helped you through various tests in life when you needed help or support the most.

  Homelessness is becoming a more prominent issue in Canada. Our novel study, Ragged Company, examines this issue by introducing us to 4 homeless individuals who face many struggles in their lives. Which character do you understand and bond with best? Do you understand their situation? How do you feel about homelessness and what can Canada do to help alleviate the problem of homelessness?
